1、 Pretreatment procedure
1.Clean the powder in the forming cylinder and sweep the powder in the cylinder into the powder collecting box with a brush.
2. Replace the scraper strip: In order to avoid affecting the quality of the printed piece due to the abrasion of the scraper strip, check the scraper strip after each printing.
3. Adjust the base plate: Before printing, you need to adjust the screws at the four corners of the base plate to make the base plate horizontal, otherwise the quality of the printed pieces will be affected.
4. Powder screening: The powder in the powder collecting box can only be recycled after screening. The powder screening can remove impurities generated by printing and ensure the printing quality.
5. In order to prevent metal powder from being oxidized, nitrogen must be filled as the protective gas for air replacement.
The replacement process takes about one and a half hours. Because the material used for metal printing is metal powder, many people may mistakenly think that metal printing does not need support. Data processing Metal print product data, support is needed, and often necessary. The main functions of metal 3D printing support include:
(1) connecting with the printing platform to resist stress and prevent edge warping;
(2) Resist the force of scraper and keep the shape of parts; (3) Conducting heat. This is the state when the parts are supported. Since the support is also metal, it is difficult to remove, so the operator will repeatedly adjust the angle to minimize the support. After the preparation is completed, import the supported printout into the machine and start printing.
2、 After finishing the printing of post-processing process,
1. Cooling: It needs to stand for a period of time, and then take out the printed piece together with the substrate after complete cooling. At this time, the print is sintered on the substrate,
2. Heat treatment: Before cutting, heat treatment is required to remove stress, especially for some box shaped thin shells with large planes. The stress is very strong, and direct cutting is very easy to deform,
3. Wire cutting: After heat treatment, wire cutting is performed to separate the printed piece from the substrate. This is the state at the time of cutting. It can be seen that there are still many supports on some parts,
4. Desupport: One of the major differences between metal printing and resin printing is support. The support of resin parts is easy to remove after being softened with alcohol, while the support of metal parts is very hard, almost equivalent to that welded on the printed parts, so desupport is also the biggest difficulty of metal printing.
5. Grinding: the purpose of polishing is to smooth the supporting point and make the surface of the print more smooth,
6. Sand blasting: sand blasting is required after polishing. Sand blasting can make the surface of the print cleaner and more beautiful.
7. Polishing: Polishing can reduce the surface roughness of the workpiece and obtain a bright and flat surface.
